In 2001, Paradise Delight Florist started their business with the focus on handcrafted Hawaiian leis and tropical creations. It is our attention to details that attracted many venues to our style.
Since then, Paradise Delight has blossomed into a thriving floral and event design studio that serves discerning clients for the special events industry.
Our style too has evolved too. We’re well verse in the styles of contemporary, modern, traditional. So back by popular demand, Paradise Delight Florist will be offering their fresh handcrafted Hawaiian leis just in time for the graduation season.
The Hawaiian lei collection will focus on the more detailed and intricate pattern. For example, the Christina Collection involves nearly 600 orchid petals precisely layered back-and-forth upon each other to create a “feathered” look.
One of our popular collections, The Fancy Orchid lei, in which it is crafted with over 1,000 petals sewn in a spiral, honey-comb fashion. It’s a sight to behold.
So stay tuned! Our leis are a work from the heart! Also, check in as we unveil our MAY SPECIAL – IT’S ALL ABOUT THE ORCHID!

THE HUNTLEY HOTEL - THE HIDDEN TREASURE IN THE HEART OF SANTA MONICA
When the Wedding Jeannie talks, everyone listens! Jeannie Ward, The Wedding Jeannie, has guided our path to an amazing treasure in the heart of Santa Monica, The Huntley Hotel.
Over an amazing meal at The Penthouse, we brain stormed concepts for an urban chic wedding for a wedding couple from New York City. Subsequently, the couple loved our concept. Paradise Delight is honored to be part of the celebration, in conjunction with amazing photographer, Marianne Lozano.
At The Penthouse, LA dining and nightlife soars to breathtaking new heights. Venture into a Santa Monica restaurant and ultra lounge that pulses with excitement 18 stories above the California shore. Contemporary cuisine and creative cocktails blend with a surge of style and celebrity, sweeping through the intimate cabanas and fireside hangouts.
And while many will come to witness the scene, it's the stunning 360º views through a sweeping wall of windows that of¬fers this destination's greatest spectacle. From the Pacific Ocean to the Malibu beach and cliffs to the bright lights of Hollywood, you are truly above it all.
This is The Penthouse, a Huntley Hotel treasure that satisfies your taste for fine American dining while indulging your sense of adventure in an exhilarating ultra lounge atmosphere. Come rise into The Penthouse for a signature LA experience.
The Huntley Hotel is located at 1111 Second Street in Santa Monica. For more information about hosting your event at The Huntley, contact Rodney Pruchel, Director of Catering at (310) 354-5454

LEARN HOW TO SAVE $1,500.00 OFF YOUR WEDDING BUDGET
Paradise Delight, Orange County wedding florist, was honored to be the guest speaker for a wedding planning class. Our focus was to provide proven tips and techniques to transform a celebration without breaking the bank.
With over 25 in attendance, Paradise Delight emphasized that “customization” is the critical ingredient for today’s weddings. Here are some of the tips in shaving at least $1,500.00 off the wedding budget.
Savings Tip # 1 - Food and beverage will account for half of your wedding budget. So select a venue that has the décor and theme of your celebration. For example, if you are looking for a wine theme, select a vineyard or wine cellar. Nautical or ocean feel, select a venue such as Aquarium of the Pacific where all the décor is already in place. Any addition of décor elements that is not already in place will add to your budget.
Savings Tip # 2 - If possible, select a Friday or Sunday for a lower food and beverage minimum order. Factor in another 30% for service charge and sales tax. For example, if the venue quotes $100.00 per person for the food and beverage, it is more likely $130.00 per person with sales tax and service charge.
Savings Tip # 3 - Utilize seasonal flowers to shave your floral budget. You may embellish with premium flower for a more refined look. However, utilizing all premium flowers will be 3 times to 5 times more than seasonal flowers. Also, re-purpose ceremony flowers for the reception ballroom.
Savings Tip # 4 - First impression leaves a lasting impression. Utilize specialty lighting (up lights, pin spots, washes) to enhance the mood. Votives, pillars and floating candles makes the mood more romantic. Personalize with specialty linens or nakins.
Savings Tip # 5 - Prioritize, edit and play with the numbers of décor. The higher the priority, the more the budget allocation should be.

LEGENDS & ICONS BALL - PART II
Paradise Delight is in the business of creating beautiful environments for special events.
Hired just three weeks prior to the Professional Beauty Association Opening Gala, Paradise Delight was tasked to create, design and execute for trend setting beauty professionals worldwide.
By understanding the big picture, Paradise Delight was able to create a fresh, innovative and contemporary theme that reflected the true essence of our client. (Oh yes, pictures are forthcoming!)
Also, the good news is that the proceeds would benefit Dining For Change, a non-profit organization whose focus is to make a difference in the lives of those impacted by cancer, domestic abuse and natural disasters.
It is a grassroots fundraising initiative based on a new and growing model of localized charitable work called "giving circles" - groups of individuals networked with other small groups to make a difference. For more information, visit Dining For Change.
